Nick's Musical Foundation
Nicholas Filippides earned his stripes at the Hartt School of Music, graduating with a bachelor's degree in Music Education, before leveling up at Central Connecticut State University to earn his master's degree. He believes all students can achieve greatness if they can learn to enjoy the process of learning.

Nick has worked with thousands of different singers in public school settings, private tutoring sessions, an adult community choir and many professional events. Nick has music directed many musicals, and is composing his own in his free time. He is well versed in audition preparation, as he has judged hundreds of auditions over his time as an educator.

How long have you studied music?
Nick studied music at the Hartt School of Music for his Bachelor's degree during his time as a music educator. This continued with his Master's education at Central Connecticut State University.
Which instruments do you play?
As a choir and guitar teacher for nine years in public schools, Nick learned many of the instruments he is teaching now. He originally wanted to double major with Percussion/Drums, but kept it to one. Now, he has had performances with the drums, keyboard, guitar, and his voice.
Where have you previously taught?
Nick has taught music in Connecticut public schools for nine years! He was a musical music director for high school shows, a community choir director for the Branford Chorale, and a composer of music where he used that knowledge to teach AP Music Theory classes. Nick now resides in Charlotte North Carolina where he has been teaching private lessons ever since.
Does Nick do anything besides teach??
When Nick isn't teaching music, he is probably being a:
Composer, tutor, streamer, entertainer, gamer, theorist, pickleball coach, frisbee player and more!
